Is it time to bench Trevor Siemian? After a three interception night in the loss the KC, it should be. After running the ball to the tune of 177 yards and a fantastic effort by the defense against the Chiefs, Siemian’s QB rating was 43.5 Monday night. Siemian has struggled since week three at Buffalo, so it’s time for a change.
The Colorado Mesa football team has moved from seventh to sixth in the latest Super Region 4 rankings. The Mavs can nail down their third straight RMAC title with a win Saturday at South Dakota Mines in what could be a shoot-out with two of the top three scoring offenses in the RMAC squaring off. CMU wide receiver Flynn Heald not only was part of a homecoming thumping of New Mexico Highlands, but he also took the plunge. Heald proposed to his girlfriend after the game and she siad yes! Heald transferred from William and Mary after he was encouraged by good friend David Tann to transfer.
For the first time since 2002, the Fruita Monument football team is a conference champion. Their 56-10 drubbing of George Washington to win the Mountain League title. The Wildcats should end up 3rd or 4th in the 4A RPI and will host in the first round. The Cats already have the top running game in 4A, but their defense has become one of the best in classification. Fruita wraps up the regular season this Thursday at Wheatridge.
