This has been very hard for all of us,and I hope this finds each and every one of you well.
Frankly,I miss interacting with you,and I miss my Co-workers,even Buckeye Boy.
But,every Situation can have some positives……
I’m locked down with 4 kids, three of them 11 and under. My 17 year old is being denied Prom, and a Graduation Ceremony, but,he understands. He’s off to University of Northern Colorado in the Fall……we hope.
So,because our common ground is sports, let’s focus on that.
It doesn’t matter what teams you support (although,if you support the Dolphins,we might have problems)-you support those Teams because of the history you have with them. Those memories have imparted Passion.Nothing can change that.
Nothing.
Revisit those memories, enjoy the victories, and, remember the bile that rose after losses.
If you have kids, share with them the memories…my 10 year old,Caelan, and I watch old Manchester United videos, and she’s fallen in love with that team, again. It’s all new to her, and, while she’s always supported the Red Devils, seeing players from previous generations eases the pain of not watching them, now.
My 11 year old,Rylie,and I watched the 1990 NCAA Final with me,the other night,and when it was over,she said,”Now I get it,Papa,UNLV was amazing”.
So,tell those tales, share those memories, reminisce, and keep Passion alive.
Most of all,stay safe.
Talk to you soon,
Buffalo Mark
